Bai Sri Soo Kwan, or Bai Sri for short, is one remarkable culture of the local northeastern of Thailand. They do Bai Sri in special occasions like wedding, child born, housewarming, reception party sometimes to get rid of bad things that come to life such as illness or accident. Bai Sri is the traditional rite to restore a shaken spirit and calling for prosperity and happiness. The most important thing of the ceremony is the Bai Sri which is a banana leaves tray of 3 or 5 or 7 storey decorated with flowers filled in with cooked rice, dessert, fruit and guardian things. The prayer prays for good luck after the Brahman and Priest to call upon guardian angels. Visitors to Thailand all impress with this warm and care welcome rite.
